While she never expected to be a reality TV star, Rockhampton woman Diane Armstrong is ready to do it all again next year in the name of charity.
Filming on television series Adventure All Stars took place on the South Coast of NSW in November last year, and Diane’s episode premiered on 7Plus on Friday night.
Dianne watched the show with friends at a dinner party and said while it was a surreal experience seeing herself on TV, it was worth it knowing she had made a difference.
Diane was one of 12 fundraisers from the charity Walk A While selected to take part in Adventure All Stars.
The show saw fundraisers from all walks of life – architects, lawyers, accountants and photographers – come together for activities including oyster farming, surfing and racing rafts made out of 44-gallon drums.
Together the group raised $147,988.26 for Walk a While, with the funds going toward the Cross on Memory Mountain – a 20-metre, solar-powered cross 250km from Alice Springs.
